Reported speech questions

WH Questions:
When we tell the question to someone else, it isn't a question any more. So we need to change the grammar to a normal positive sentence.

• Direct: "Where does Peter live?"
• Indirect: She asked him where Peter lived.

Yes/No Questions (ask + if/whether + proposition):

• Direct: "Is it raining?"
• Indirect: She asked if it was raining.

Interrogative pronouns (ask + interrogative pronoun + proposition):

• Direct: The policeman said to the boy, "Where do you live?"
• Indirect: The policeman asked the boy where he lived.
